South Coast Walk
This is a fairly short walk, 4 hrs approximately, so we can meet at a time to suit you. It could be a nice summer late afternoon walk, enjoying the low afternoon light and the scents and sounds of the hedgerows. This would be an ideal walk to bring children along.
Starting at the Old Creamery Coffee Shop we hike through the village to the ancient Stone Alignment and then down to visit the Old Kilcrohane church and cemetery. We then pick up the trail proper, heading down the coastal path and to Dooneen Pier and the old Fish Palace.
Next we come to Caher and the famine burial ground and perhaps a quiet moment of reflection. On to the Tra Ruian quay and the Black Gate Coffee shop with its quaint museum. Heading back along the road to Kilcrohane, we will visit an ancient Ring Fort and Holy Well. A last stop en route to check out the White House Gallery, a local art gallery and coffee shop, then back to base.
